Abstract

Measurements of 148 stars on a 10-color photometric system are presented. The magnitudes have been calibrated absolutely through the observations of standard stars. The reddening-free ultraviolet excess d(38-41) correlates closely with [Fe/H] for G dwarfs. However, the relationship between the cyanogen anomaly, dCm(41-42) , and [Fe/H] for G and K giants is unclear for stars more metal-rich than the Sun. Various interpretations of the data are discussed.
