The Landolt photometric system

Abstract

Narrow-band photoelectric indices were defined at the NIII triplet (lambda 4634, 4640, 4641) and at HeII 4686 for 156 O and Of stars. There is some slight indication that the indices defined are sensitive to luminosity. If true, the VI Cygni association is much nearer than previously thought. Comments are made concerning variability of these spectral features.
